Kathy Smith, along with her husband Dave Smith, are owners of Lazy S Storage Units located on Highway 10, South of Kilfoyle Krafts and Drunkard’s Wash. They refer to the location of their business by the huge log entryway.
From the time they decided to build storage units in the area, the Smiths have been hands-on for the entire project. “We looked for the right location for six to nine months when we decided on this location and from that moment on, we knew we had picked the right location and the right business to fit our business desires,” saus Kathy.
Dave is the construction side of the business and Kathy handles the day-to-day operations, including cleaning of the grounds, cleaning the interiors of the units, handling rental agreements, accounts payables, receivables and marketing.
Kathy has been associated with small businesses in the local area most of her working life and appreciates the dedication and hard work it takes to make small businesses profitable. “We pride ourselves in good customer service and work very hard at meeting the consumers needs. We get a great deal of satisfaction knowing we own and operate a small business in Carbon County that we deem as successful by lots of hard work and commitment. We appreciate all our customers and have made new friends through our business,” adds Kathy.
