Eleanor Leetham


PRICE – Eleanor Forsyth Leetham, age 87, passed away Aug. 25, 2004 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
She was born June 8, 1917 in Provo, to Grove Cleveland and Emma Eleanora Dahlquist Forsyth. She married John Leonard Leetham April 30, 1937 in Provo.
Eleanor was a longtime resident of Provo and graduate of Provo High School Class of 1935. Member of the LDS church and resident of Price since 1970. She was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club of Provo and the Good Sam’s Club of Price.
In her earlier years, Eleanor enjoyed bowling and playing softball. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, crosswords and years of scrapbooking. She will be dearly missed by her family and many longtime friends.
Survived by husband John, “Whitey” Leetham, Price; daughter, Joyce (Dixon) Corry, Henderson, Nev.; sons, John Wayne (Lynda) Leetham, Fort Collins, Colo.; Jay Leonard (Valoie) Leetham, Moab; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Alfa and Wanda; and brothers, Claude; Grover C. Jr. and Marion.
Funeral service Friday, Aug. 27, 2 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery.


Ernest Mesec


HELPER – Ernest Mesec died at his home in Seattle, Wash., June 5, 2004 from complications of diabetes.
He was born June 25, 1922.
He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the South Pacific.
He was a graduate of the University of Utah earning a degree in electrical engineering.
He retired from Boeing Aircraft Company with 40 years as a missile engineer.
He is survived by brother, Victor; and sister-in-law, Zelma, of Salem, Oregon.
At his request there were no services and burial will be at the family plot in the Helper City cemetery.
