Brandon Curtis


EAST CARBON – Brandon Kirk Curtis, age 31, died May 28, 2004 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near his home in East Carbon.
Born Aug. 9, 1972 in Price to Don Kirk and Maria Ganino Curtis. Married Corrie Ann Peterson Nov. 14, 1992 in Joseph.
Member of the LDS Church.
Brandon enjoyed children and he was very active in the youth programs in East Carbon where he was a Junior Jazz, wrestling and Little League coach. He was presently serving as president of the WBBA in Sunnyside.
Brandon loved hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors with his family.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survived by his wife, Corrie Curtis; five children, Maranda (10), Morgan (9), Dakota (8), Duke (5), Dayton (2), all of East Carbon; mother, Maria Ganino and Joe West, Moab; father, Don (Sharyn) Curtis, Idaho Falls, Idaho; brother, Andrew Todd Curtis, Draper; grandparents, Jack (Lucy) Curtis, Huntington; mother-in-law, Connie (Brent) Nielson, Elsinore; brother-in-law, Chris Peterson, Richfield; sisters-in-law, Cindy Garcia, Cheryl Jones, both of Clearfield; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by father-in-law, Chris Peterson; grandparents, Rosario Ganino, and Jean and Darwin Jensen.
Funeral service, Thursday, June 3, 11 a.m., East Carbon LDS Ward Chapel. Family will be at the church Thursday, one hour prior to service. A candlelight vigil will be held Wednesday evening at dusk at the Sunnyside Little League Field. Interment, Valley View Cemetery, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established at the Carbon Credit Union in memory of Brandon.


Annie Judd


CASTLE DALE – Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Annie Richards Judd, age 81, passed away peacefully May 26, 2004 with her family by her side after a valiant battle with cancer.
Annie was born Dec.12, 1922 in Kenilworth to Thomas and Sarah Amelia Hey Richards. She married Earl Bob Judd Oct. 30, 1948 in Salt Lake City. Marriage later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Bob preceded her in death.
She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many church callings.
Mom was a quiet woman who loved her family and loved to serve others. She always gave unselfishly of her talents and abilities.
She is survived by children, Jon (Cindy) Judd, Castle Dale; Barbara (Kimball) Rasmussen, Orangeville; Jeanine (Ed) Thomson, Huntington; and Paul (Barb) Judd, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1, 11 a.m., in the Castle Dale 1st LDS Ward, 35 E. Main, Castle Dale. Interment will be in the Castle Dale City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.


Edna Depew


PRICE – Edna Lois Depew, 75, passed away May 28, 2004 at the Parkdale Care Center.
She was born March 27, 1929 to Sylvester and Helen Woolf Anderson. She married Reese Depew Nov. 25, 1968 in Mexico.
Edna enjoyed reading and giving people a bad time. She loved people that she could joke with. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by children, Kevin, Laura, Iretta, Robbie, Lisa, Mark, Mike, Terrilyn, and their spouses; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Ron Anderson, Ray Anderson, Miriam Hester and Lucille Fotheringham. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Reese; son, Craig; and sister, Louise.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 2, 11 a.m., at the Price City Cemetery. Friends and family may call for a viewing prior to services at Fausett Mortuary in Price from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
