A burglary suspect who may be connected with a string of thefts that have taken place in the past two years was arrested on Friday .
At 11:55 a.m. on Nov. 14, Price city police officers were dispatched to a city residence in the area of 500 East and 400 North after some neighbors reported seeing a suspicious person in the back yard
Officers Dave Cartwright and Chad Feichko arrived at the scene and discovered a broken window and open door at the home. Upon entering the residence the officers encountered Albert DeWayne Holt, 39, who was taken into custody. At the time he was in possession of several stolen items from the house.
The suspect was later booked at the Carbon County Jail on felony charges of burglary of a dwelling.
The suspect had given police officers his Price address as 377 North 500 East, but upon investigation it was learned that he also resides in the Salt Lake area and makes periodic visits to the area. The inquest into his background has also revealed an extensive criminal background, with some charges connected to home burglaries.
Price city police are checking into circumstances which appear to lead to the fact that the suspect might have been involved in other burglary incidents that have taken place over the last 18 months in town. Many of those burglaries have taken place in north Price, more particularly in the same area as the incident on Friday.
