The major remodel of Zions Bank in downtown Price is nearly complete with all services back up and running. The bank has set August 15 for their grand opening celebration. There will be ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. that day, and the ribbon will be strewn with bills that will be donated to the United Way.
A free barbecue lunch will be offered to the public from 11:30 to 2 p.m.
There will be a prize drawing for a two-night getaway for two people atTavaputs Plateau Ranch. Besides a complete outside remodel some of the other changes include doubling the drive up facility making it four lanes plus an independant ATM lane. New carpet, new furnishings and more convenient parking are all part of the new look.
Also the United Way of Carbon county is moving this weekend to one of the remodeled offices.
While tearing off the outside of the building, the name Carbon Emery Bank was uncovered and appears to have been the front of the bank back in the mid 1970’s.Zions acquired Carbon-Emery Bank on August 1, 1973 and the original building was built in 1948.
