Wellington City Police Chief Lee Barry hands Rick Houskeeper a DARE diploma. Each year, sixth grade students at Wellington Elementary participate in the program which is taught by a local police officer who teaches children how to say no to drugs and alcohol. The course allows students to become familiar with ways to stay away from harmful situations and teaches them that it is all right to stand alone for the things which they believe in. A graduation ceremony was conducted last Thursday night at the school as Barry congratulated each student for successfully passing the course.
