George Marinos


HELPER – George Marinos, age 89, passed away April 1, 2003 in Price.
He was born July 27, 1913 in Grass Creek, to Gust and Sarah Craig Marinos. Married Yvonne Allred March 14, 1969.
Member of the LDS Church. Former employee in the coal industry in Carbon County for many years. Retired from North American Coal in Castle Gate. Retired member UMWA Local 1681.
He enjoyed the outdoors spending time camping and gardening. He especially like to hunt and fish.
Survived by wife, Yvonne Marinos; two sons and one daughter, Saralyn Montoya, Central City; Jack (Becky) Marinos, Helper; Tom (Laurel) Marinos, Price; two sisters, Jeanne (Bob) Berry, Denver, Colo.; Elsie Perrero, Helper; grandchildren, Denise, Chris, Ursula, Gus, Joey, Rosalyn, Laurie and Sharon; five great-grandchildren; nephews, Pete (Markay) Perrero, Tucson, Ariz.; Michael (Sue) Perrero, Salt Lake; and niece, Cindy Berry Lineen. Preceded in death by parents; and daughter, Georgette Hamilton.
Funeral service Friday, April 4, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Friday one hour prior to services. Friends are welcome at Mitchell’s Thursday and Friday prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Cemetery, Helper.


Bernice Brown


SALT LAKE CITY – Bernice Pulli Brown passed away April 1, 2003.
Bernice was born Sept. 22, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Peter and Louise Pulli, the fourth daughter of eight children.
Bernice was a 49-year member of Naomi Chapter 14, Order of Eastern Star in Price, and an evening chief operator for Mountain States Telephone in Price. She retired in December 1983 in Salt Lake City.
She was a loving companion and an avid golfer.
Survived by her husband, Richard; stepchildren, Cynthia J. (Calvin) Wagstaff, Sun Valley, Idaho; Douglas (Dana) Brown, Salt Lake City; Jeffery Brown, Salt Lake City; Arlee (Brent) Stoker, American Fork; Gareth Brown, St. George; Russell (Bonnie) Brown, Seattle, Wash.; Corwin (Melissa) Brown, Seattle, Wash.; Evelyn Gullickson, Hettinger, N.D.; Lorraine Bjornlie, San Juan Capastrano, Calif.; Ruth O’Neil Witten (Ken), Price; Marion Beacco Matson (Joseph), Salt Lake City; brothers, Daniel Pulli (Sherron), Huntington; James Pulli (Bonnie), Price; Robert Pulli Everett, Washington; nieces and nephews, Peggy and Paul Wilmonen, George Patrick and Patti O’Neil, Michael Bjornlie, Jeffrey Bjornlie and Timothy Bjornlie, David and Shelley, Beacon, Paul and Angela Pulli; special loving care givers, Lindsay and Kelsey Beacco, Wendy Wilomen; former husband, Perry Pierce; stepsons, David (Nancy) McClellan and Brent McClellan. Bernice was preceded in death by parents; and son, Clinton Brown.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 5, 2 p.m., at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 South, Murray. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Memorial Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 East, Murray, and one hour prior to services on Saturday.
