Spring soccer action continues in Carbon County as the Dinos host their first home game of the season.

The Carbon High boys soccer team welcomed the spring season by hosting two games last week. The first of which was conducted last Wednesday as Millard came to town to take on the mighty Dino team.
After starting the year off slowly, the Dinos took to their home field with confidence.
Carbon athlete, Todd Palmer lead the team with four goals and Derek Marrelli scored a goal of his own to capture the Dinos first win of the year by the final tally of 5-0.
In the non-region game, goalie Greg Palmer shutout Millard to assist in the Dino victory.
The first day of spring found the Dinos hosting the first Region 8 game of the season as the North Sanpete Hawks visited the Carbon field.
The sun was brightly shining as well as the spirits of the Dinos team. The wind did blow which seemed to knock the Dinos a bit off track.
By the time that the season opener was over, the Dinos had suffered a loss at the hands of the Hawks who defeated Carbon, 3-0.
The Region 8 loss dropped the Dinos record to 1-3-1 for the year, but Carbon looks to improve this record this week as they faced Wasatch Academy Wednesday afternoon and Delta on Friday.
Both games are roadies for the Dinos who continue to improve their game each time the step out on to the field.
Win or lose, the Dinos enter each game with one thing on their minds, and that is to have fun. And this is exactly what the ball club does each time it competes.
