It was the academy of awards for local realtors two weeks ago as they were recognized for their accomplishments in 2002. Held at the Elk’s Lodge in Price over 60 realtors, families and friends gathered as the honors were given out.
The Realtor of the Year award was presented to Toni Johnson of Bridge Realty. This award is given to the realtor who is recognized for professional and personal behavior, business accomplishments and personal achievement in the real estate profession.
Mike Metzger of Bridge Realty walked away with three top honors at the awards banquet which included top listing agent, top closing agent and top producer for 2002.
Jim Shorts of Bridge Realty was recognized with the top property management award.
The Rookie of the Year award was given to Patrick Bailey of Century 21 Castleland Realty. This award was based on total dollar volume sold during the realtors first 12 months in real estate.
Special guest Pat H. Iannone, executive vice president of the Utah Association of Realtors from Murray, reminded the group, “This is a celebration of you. If the people in this room feel that way about you, other people do too.”
She added, “celebrate who you are and remember, you must be present to win.”
Before the realtors were honored the band “Hill Billy Voodo” entertained the crowd.
Realtors recognized for their accomplishments included Bronze award recipients JuNette Terry, Trails End Realty; Leo Heugly, Bridge Realty; Lynette Rukavina, Etzel Realty; Ernie Nagel, United Country Nagel Realty; Lew Crofts, Etzel Realty; Pat Vose, Century 21 Castleland Realty; and Deloris Markakis, Etzel Realty.
Honored for the Silver Award sales include Balynda Scovill and Loretta Jensen, both from Etzel Realty.

The medallion awards were presented to realtors with at least two million dollars in sales in 2002 Mary Bishop, Etzel Realty; Lynda Day, Etzel Realty; and Tammy Moore, Century 21 Castleland Realty.
The Gold Medallion award was presented to realtors that sold three million dollars in sales or more. Those honored in this category included Toni Johnson, Bridge Realty, five million in sales; Jim Shorts, Bridge Realty, four million in sales; Mike Metzger, Bridge Realty, five million in sales; and Nancy Mills, Century 21 Castleland Realty, three million in sales.
