Troy Lessar prepares a pipe for installation in the water line in north Helper on Tuesday. Extending from the city’s treatment plant in the canyon to a large storage tank on Wood Hill, the Price water line project is nearing completion as the contractor rushes to meet the April 1 deadline. The single piping system is replacing two water lines, parts of which have been used for almost 70 years. The city reports that the cooperation of Helper and Price River Water Improvement District has been excellent. For instance, an accidental break in a line near Martin was resolved when PRWID fed water into the system to supply the Carbonville and Spring Glen areas.
