David Dickey, owner of Lee’s Music in Price sits at the new Elvis Presley signature piano. The newest Baldwin piano is the number one of a limited run of only 25 pianos slated to be built. It is authorized by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Dickey unveiled the new edition Tuesday, which he first viewed at a recent trade show in Orlando, Fla. in January. The Piano was demonstrated by a number of musicians at the show including Tina and Ike Turner.
Unlike any other piano, it not only contains the Presley signature and the “taking care of business” trademark, but includes several other enhancements new to the piano industry. These include the stealth action for faster and quieter reproduction. The black piano has a mirrored upper frame, with etching of the gates of Graceland, Elvis’ home in Memphis, Tenn.
