Letter to the Editor: Save trees in downtown Price

By Sun Advocate

After 15 years since the trees on Main Street in Price were planted and the work, effort and struggle the planting has a taken through the years, a request has been made to remove two of the existing trees.
It has been a pleasure to look down the street and enjoy the green of the trees and the planters of the colorful flowers that can be seen.
Price city has been a member of the Tree City USA and a member of the National Arbor Day Association for many years for having a tree program.
Many citizens, volunteers and organization have been involved in supporting the city in beautification project and improvements within the community.
In 1996, Price city was recognized as first place winner in the states Tidy Town Contest, which was for the town showing the most improvement in the city. How proud we were of this recognition.
Let us work together to keep improving and protecting what we have. It is everyone’s desire to live in a community that we are proud of and to have an image that will be remembered by those who visit.
Let’s save our trees.
