An auto-pedestrian accident which occured last month left Carbon County resident Andrew Knott wounded and without transportation. The incident occured Aug. 7 at the corner of 800 East and Main Street in Price when a motor vehicle struck Knott who was riding across the street on his bicycle. Knott was knocked to the ground and suffered head injuries while his bike was destroyed. He was transported to Castleview Hospital where he was later released. After hearing of the news, the Meyer family decided that something had to be done for a man who had offered his friendship to the local family. The children decided to set up donataion cans at local businesses in Helper to collect funds for a replacement bike. After gathering enough money, the children along with Knott entered a local retail store and purchased the new mountain bike. Knott can now be found traveling through the Castle Valley on his brand new bike.
