Utah Jazz player to visit Price.
A player from the Utah Jazz will visit the BDAC August 2 from 9-10 a.m. The name of the player has not yet been announced.
The main focus of the player’s visit is to allow youth who are interested in basketball to attend and learn valuable skills from the NBA player. Photos of the player will be available and the public is invited to attend.
Fees to be charged at Willow Lake Campground.
Beginning August 1, an overnight camping fee of $3per vehicle per night will be charged at Willow Lake campground.
Campers should deposit their money in the self service fee tube. The area now has 10 camping sites that can accommodate three vehicles each, and functions as a major staging area for the Arapeen off road vehicle trail.
Day use activities such as fishing and picnicking remain free of charge.
Last fall the Forest Service began to improve Willow Lake campground by installing a new toilet. This summer work continued with the installation of signage for the Arapeen Trail system. This effort is part of the on-going fee demo program that allows all money collected on site to be used to maintain and improve the site.
Upland game proclamation for 2002-2003 season now available.
Hunters can start preparing for Utah’s upland game hunts by picking up a copy of the 2002-2003 Utah upland game proclamation. The proclamation is available from hunting and fishing license agents statewide, Division of Wildlife Resources offices and the division’s internet website at www.wildlife.utah.gov.
Wild turkey hunting rules, season dates and permit numbers are the only upland game items not found in the proclamation. These items will be approved in September and will be found in Utah’s 2003 wild turkey addendum. The addendum should be available in early November.
