Hector Ahumada, a professor at the University of Utah, presents one of his poems at the semi annual artist salon in downtown Helper last Saturday night. The show included paintings, sculpture, photography, and other mediums. Live presentations included a number of poets, essays, stories and music. The salon is open to the public and is held every six months for the benefit of those who want to present their works to an appreciative audience largely made up of others who are presenting works themselves. The next salon will take place in October.
