Local karate students place at Utah tournament.
Recently, a number of local karate students placed at the 2001 Fight Against Hunger Karate Tournament. The meet took place at the University of Utah to help raise food for the hungry and needy people of Utah.
In the white belt division Jason Fredrickson and Gordon Hassey placed first in sparring and first in Kata while Jordan Tucker placed third in sparring and first in Kata.
In blue belt Bret Morgan was first in sparring and first in Kata.
In the green belts Dave Scoggins Jr. and Jeremy Winder took third in sparring and both also took third in Kata.
In the purple belt division Rachel Scoggins took first in sparring and first in Kata.
In the brown belt class Dave Scoggins took first in Kata.
