Joey Penovich

Our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and loved by many and friend to all, Joey Boyd Penovich, age 20, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2017.
He was born on December 20, 1996 in American Fork, Utah.
Joey was so young and so full of life! He was a ray of sunshine that always had a smile on his face and a love for life. He touched so many people with his youthful sweet presence, and made friends wherever he went. Joey loved spending time with his family in the outdoors. He especially loved his times shed hunting with his mom and brother. Joey also liked learning how to weld with Robert and his Uncle Vern. Joey was an avid sports lover. He played sports during his junior high and high school years. Joey graduated from the Lighthouse Academy. He was currently employed by Vinyl Industries in Lehi, Utah. Joey will be dearly missed by his mother and many family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Mandy Mecham (Dustin Rhodes), Elmo; brother, Robert Penovich, Ogden; grandparents, Sally and Gary Peterson, Las Vegas, Glen and Inez Mecham, Roosevelt, Boyd and Deanna Rhodes, Cleveland, Vernon (Dania) Mecham, Lehi, Stephanie Black, Colorado; cousins, Karson Jewkes, Mackenzie and Collin Black, many extended family and friends.
Joey was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Eva and Boyd Decker, John and Blanche Mecham and Lola Peterson.
Funeral service, Saturday, August 26, 2017, 11:00 a.m., Elmo LDS Ward, (170 East Main Street) in Elmo. Family will receive friends Friday evening at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church Saturday one hour prior to service. Interment, Cleveland Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
