Jon Scott Davis

PRICE-Our loving husband, father, grandfather and longtime friend, Jon Scott Davis, age 68, passed away August 11, 2017 in Scofield while doing what he loved.
He was born October 19, 1948 in Price, Utah to John H. and Stella Draper Davis.
Jon was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in the Southern States Mission. He was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1966. Jon graduated from the College of Eastern Utah and later attended Utah State University. In 2011, he retired from Rocky Mountain Power as a Relay Technician with 37 years of service. He was a proud member of I.B.E.W. Local # 57. Jon was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol where he was awarded the Commanders Commendation Award for his outstanding performance and service to others.
Jon was a master craftsman, car enthusiast and car collector who loved to tinker. Whether he could drive it, fly it or sail it, Jon was always ready for the next adventure. One of his favorite pastimes was traveling to car shows with “Lizzy” his prized 1929 Ford Hot Rod. Jon was passionate about everything, especially vehicles. If it had a motor, then he could fix it. Some of his fondest memories were those shared while working at Dale’s Motor Clinic. Jon loved boating at Lake Powell, fishing, flying his airplane and helping others. Our quiet giant was an excellent teacher and perfectionist who loved helping anyone in need. His quick wit and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all. Fly high Jon, you’re soaring with the angels now.
