Wardella Edwards embraces a loved one as Price Fire Chief Paul Bedont finishes inspecting the Edwards’ charred siding. According to Bedont, the fire, which was started while LarMar Edwards was defrosting a water line on Fifth Avenue, could have been much worse if Edwards had not acted quickly and alerted the department. “Mr. Edwards did the right thing, something most people don’t do,” said Bedont. “He called immediately and it saved his home. Because he acted quickly the fire this morning had a good ending.” Bedont reported that the department inspected the area with a thermal camera and installed a fan to clear the smoke.
