Bud Sulser
HELPER – Buddy H. Sulser, age 71, loving husband, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Jan. 15, 2007 in Helper.
He was born on Sept. 10, 1935 in Midway to Homer and Laura Sorensen Sulser. On Sept. 14, 1953 Bud married Sandra Lythgoe. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He attended Wasatch High School.
Aside from his deep love for his wife and family, Bud loved trucking. He began his career in Myton before moving to Sandy where he worked Uintah Freightways. He was transferred to Vernal and then started his own company, Sulser Trucking. He worked the open roads for almost 40 years before moving to Helper to retire.
Bud loved and adored his four children and was blessed with eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, whom he spoiled, teased and loved dearly.
He is survived by wife, Sandra of Helper; children, Shane (Chris) Sulser of Rock Springs, Wyo.; Christina (Robbie) Gray of Helper; Lisa Sulser of Helper; and Kurt Sulser of American Fork; three sisters, Eunice (Jack) Watkins of American Fork; Pat Kost of Salt Lake City; and Relva Evans of Mesquite, Nev.; two brothers, Jay (Ruth) Sulser of Heber; and Terry (Kaylynn) Sulser of Salt Lake City; brother-in-law, Albert Winterrose and sister-in-law, Shirley Lythgoe, both of Helper; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents; brothers-in-law, Ed Kost, Barney Evans and Hartley Lythgoe; and sister-in-law, Jackie Winterrose.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan 20, 11 a.m., at Olpin Hoopes Funeral Home in Heber City. Viewing will be Saturday at the funeral home from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at the Midway Cemetery.
Ethyl Lamb
PRICE – Ethel Faye Lamb, age 90, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2007.
She was born March 2, 1916 in Lehi to John Franklin and Victoria Colledge Jackson. She married Udell Lamb Oct. 1, 1934. They were later sealed as eternal companions in the Manti LDS Temple. He passed away in May 1990.
Faye was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and dedicated with grace much time to service in the church, particularly in the Relief Society.
Faye enjoyed the beauties of this earth and spent many hours fishing in the lakes and streams of Utah. She and her husband also enjoyed many warm winters in Arizona as snowbirds.
Her family has benefited greatly from her remarkable talent of quilting, crocheting and canning delicious fruits, chili sauce and jams.
She will be remembered as a woman who stayed steadfast in her beliefs and remained stoic and strong to the very end of her life.
Faye took great pride in her growing posterity.
She is survived by son, John Dee (Judy) Lamb, Price; daughter, Connie (Steve) Christopher, Salt Lake City; daughter-in-law, Else Lamb, Bountiful; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by husband; son, Virgil Dell Lamb; parents; and 10 siblings.
The family extends deep gratitude to the CareSource Hospice hospital whose caring staff brought such comfort to her and her family in the last days of her life.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 20, 11 a.m. at the Price 11th LDS Ward, 303 W. 500 South. Viewing will be at 10 a.m., one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at the Price City Cemetery.
