Samantha Smith goes for a steal during Tuesday nights game. Smith contributed three points in the win.

Down by 13 at halftime to North Sanpete the Carbon High Lady Dinos were in jeopardy of tarnishing their undefeated region record. But as the ladies have done all year they roared back in the second half to take the victory 37 to 36 Tuesday night. “It took a lot of pride to come back out in the 3rd quarter and get the win,” said Carbon High coach Cami Carlson.
Leading all scorers Meagan Garvin had 21 points, 15 of those from beyond the three point line. Whitney Williams chipped in with 11 followed by Erick Potts with four and Julia Potts with two. Samantha Smith scored three.
The girls next game will be Thursday night vs. Castle Country rival Emery. The Spartans were ranked 5th in the state with an 11-3 record on Wedensday. The Lady Dinos will return home Jan 25 vs. the Delta Rabbits.
