Lana Swasey
PRICE – Lana Hillman Swasey, 53, passed away peacefully at LDS Hospital surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 16, 2006.
She achieved perfection in this life and was therefore immediately needed on the other side.
She was born June 24, 1952 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ira and Virginia Hillman. She married the love of her life, Roger Swasey on Sept. 13, 1973 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She diligently raised four beautiful children and taught them through love and example how to live righteously.
She was devoted to her many church callings. She was currently the primary president.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
She led a life of service and cared for others around her more than herself.
Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She loved to learn, treasured books, was an accomplished writer and knitted booties for everyone she knew that had a baby. She never spoke an unkind word and was always the peacemaker.
Despite her own pain and struggles, right up until the end, she continued to do all she could for others and never once thought of herself. She always kept a positive attitude and fought through life’s greatest challenges.
Although separated from us, we know that she is in a better place, free from the troubles that hampered her ability to serve others. We know we will once again, in time, see her happy and whole.
Survived by loving husband, Roger Swasey of Price; sister, Carol (Jerry) Lee of Salt Lake City; and children Amy (Richard) Campbell of Helper; Jason Swasey of Logan; Monica (John) Roberts of Brigham City; Michelle (Jonathan) Badger of Logan. She leaves numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and six grandchildren who loved her and continue to love her.
