Neither I nor my close friends smoke, but I must ask Mayor Rocky Anderson, why should we eliminate the smoking rooms at the airport? Why eliminate this small courtesy? This is America. We have no right to ban smoking where it doesn’t hurt the public.
If the air filters don’t work, fix them. If they do work well, the second hand smoke is controlled and hurts nobody. If bad example is the concern, let the smokers do their thing behind a wall or screen.
And isn’t it a bad example when the mayor wants easier liquor laws? Alcohol kills more than half as many as smoking, and most of the victims are innocent.
