Arlene Hansen
LAWRENCE – Leatrice Arlene Hansen, age 77, passed away Jan. 27, 2005 in Ferron.
She was born July 5, 1927 in Cleveland to Earl and Leona Stokes Staker. When she was only nine months old, her father passed away and her mother remarried Ervin Franklin. Arlene married Louritz Mac Hansen Aug. 26, 1944 in Cleveland, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
Her whole life centered around her children, grandchildren and the family farm. She enjoyed reading and, when her health would permit, she enjoyed activities with the senior citizens.
She is survived by her children, Paulette and Kent Kelly, Mac Hansen and Loury Hansen, all of Lawrence; Cindy and Dale Bradley of Wellington; Christie and Garth Nielsen of Spring Glen; Leona and Stewart Behling of Ferron; Chad and Vickie Hansen of Cleveland; and Shirley and Kim Haslam of Clinton; 35 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Also survived by Zona Jensen of Cleveland. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and two baby sisters.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at the Huntington 1st/5th LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial, Lawrence Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
Cecil Hardman
CARBONVILLE – Cecil Hardman, age 71, died Jan. 25, 2005 at Castleview Hospital in Price.
He was born Nov. 11, 1933 to Bessie Irene Burris and Hy Hardman in Hanna. He married Nola Lois Savage on Jan. 17, 1955; divorced on Oct. 20, 1970. Married Kay Francis Wilcox on Oct. 21, 1970.
Cecil loved going for long drives throughout the mountains and scenic routes of Utah with his wife, Kay. He loved watching and playing with his 11 children, 35 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting with his family. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV, always favoring the Denver Broncos.
He had a John Deere tractor that you could find him riding on or tinkering with a lot of the time. He also enjoyed helping his mother-in-law, Irene Wilcox of Green River.
He was a member of the UMWA. He went back to school and got his GED later in life, then went on to college to earn a degree in welding. He enjoyed welding both at work and at home.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; daughters, Kathleen (Steve) Green, Vernal; Sharlene (Ron) Fenn, Salt Lake City; Linda (Bill) Hainsworth, Stanbury Park; Joy (Ken) Morse, Rush Valley; Lawella (Benny) Roberts, Spring Creek, Nev.; Cindy (Mike) Kelly, Orem; sons, Carl (Deb) Weber, Wellington; Charles Weber, Price; Lester, Price; Chris (Selina), Boise, Idaho; Terry (Lisa), Fruita, Colo.; brothers, Ray (Wanda) of Roy; Jay (Fran) of Debyer, Mont.; Ned (Elsie) of Bluebell; Fred (Clara) of Vernal; Al (Ev) of Robstown, Texas; Raymond (Shauna) of Myton; and sisters, Eva Hockley of Libby, Mont.; Nora (Terry) Rhodes of Riverside, Calif.; and Nola (Gene) Bristol of Vernal. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lester, Royal Floyd and Melvin Hardman.
Viewing was Jan. 26 at Mitchell’s in Price and graveside services were Jan. 26 at the Tabiona Cemetery.
Andrew Peterson
PRICE – Graveside services for Andrew Kay Peterson, age 73 of Price, were Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at the Elmo Cemetery.
Survived by Kenna Lee, Andrew Kay Peterson Jr., Michael F. Peterson, Lloyd L. Peterson, Elda L. Perry, P. Kaelene Huff, Lonnie R. Peterson, Quinn W. Peterson and Kyle R. Peterson.
