Frank Simons
PRICE – On St. Dimitrios Feast Day an angel left this earth and took the wind under his wings to carry Frank “Fotis” S. Simons into heaven. Died from complications from congestive heart failure in Salt Lake City on Oct. 26, 2004.
Frank was born Sept. 13, 1937 in Price to Symeon Symeonides “Simons,” and Artemesia Provatidou Symeonidou “Simons.”
Fotios was the special of all special persons. He had a heart of gold. He had unconditional love for every person with whom he associated. The pride, joy, and support of his widowed mother. His sisters who adored him. His brother who took home fishing. His nephews and nieces who equally adored him and loved him. His grand nieces and grand nephews who developed a special bond with him although they had met him for such a short time. A special person who with whomever he came into contact with loved him. His devotion to this church. For almost 60 years he served his church selflessly as an altar boy at the Price Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. He could recite the liturgy in Greek; as an altar boy he assisted the priest during services. His love for gardening, bowling and the animals was legendary. He is resting comfortably in the hands of God. Farewell paidi mou Foti.
He is survived by mother, Artemesia Simons; sister, Despina (Norm) Struck; brother, George Simons; sister, Sophia “Syd” (Nick) Colessides; nephews and nieces, John S. and Dimitri N. Struck; Mark G. Simons, Leslie Faught, and Amy Jennings; several grand nieces and grand nephews.
The family wishes to thank Frankie’s other family at the TKJ Home for caring for him in the last five years.
