Castle Valley Community Theatre’s production of “Arsenic and Old Lace” introduces the audience to the crazy Brewster clan – the sweet little old ladies, brother Teddy who thinks he’s an American president and the new Jonathon who looks like Boris Karloff.
The plot also focuses on what is happening to the elderly gentlemen boarders who come into the house, but never seem to leave.
Directed by Stewart Scoville, the cast of theatre veterans is joined on stage by two newcomers to CVCT productions, Craig Herzog as aspiring writer/police officer O’Hara and Jim Thompson as Rev. Harper.
Local performers also include Gail Scoville as Abbey Brewster, Madelaine Nyffeler as Martha Brewster, Nick Melosi as Mortimer Brewster, Amanda Hansen as Elaine Harper, Darryl Cunningham as Terry Brewster, Hugh Kirkham as Jonathan Brewster, Jack Marinac as Dr. Einstein, Zac Konakis as Brophy, Tyler Tasker as Klein and Boyd Bunnell as Lt. Rooney.
The curtain goes up on this comic offering for the Halloween season at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, Oct. 25 and Oct. 26 at the Price Civic Auditorium. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
