Museum’s activities attract hundreds

Zane Rich creates petroglyphs at family activity day at College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum. The Helper youth was one of many volunteers who worked hard Saturday, when more than 500 people attended the event. The activity included demonstrations like spear throwing, katchina carving and flint knapping along with performances by Nine Mile musical players. According to curator of education Margene Hackney, the eventeducates the public on the importance of the preserving prehistory sites.
