Vera Trujillo

PRICE-Vera Romero Trujillo passed on to join her lifelong friend and mate on March 12, 2018.
Vera was the loving daughter of Abedon Jose and Josefa Espinoza Romero.  She was born on October 30, 1925 in Manassa, Colorado where she was to meet her future husband. They were friends through grade school and high school. They were joined in marriage October 13, 1945. Thirteen was their lucky number, as their marriage lasted 71 years, through five children, sixteen grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren. Her greatest contribution was her devotion to her family and the best gift she ever received was the love that was returned. Vera was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was one of the strongest, bravest people we knew who loved her family fiercely. She loved the outdoors, and shared that passion with her family, spending many days camping and enjoying nature. She was an amazing cook where conversation flowed. She was the consummate homemaker. She was a member of Price Chapel spending many hours in prayer and serving others.
Vera Trujillo was preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Rey Trujillo and her son, Alfonso Michael Trujillo. She is survived by four children, Carl (Tracy) Trujillo, Patricia Trujillo, Shawnee (David) Ariotti, Marc (Kim) Trujillo, sixteen grandchildren, Jessica Trujillo, Justin Denton, Eric Trujillo, April (David) Zanin, Regina, Alecia, Anthony, Trujillo, Jodi (Brentten) Stowe, Tracy Steele, Micah, Miles, Samuel, and Joseph Trujillo, Melissa (Austin) Cartwright, Stephanie (Chris) Pugliese, Brianna Ariotti; nineteen great-grandchildren: Erynn, Elijah, and Everitt Denton, David and Derrick Zanin, Mercedes, Emmitt, and Cash McDaniel, Roselyn, Connor, and Madelyn Stowe, Annamaria, Alexandra, Veronica, and Natalie Cartwright, Lizbeth, Izabelle, and Olivia Pugliese, Cecily Nygard.
