Jared Brandt, who played lead character Elwood P. Dowd, poses for a photo after finishing his costume preparations in the theatre dressing room.

Carbon High School theatre students finished up their five-show run of “Harvey” on Monday. The play, produced originally for Broadway in 1944 by Mary Chase, is most remembered as a 1950 film of the same name starring Jimmy Stewart.
The Carbon High version featured Jared Brandt playing the part of Elwood P. Dowd with Trin Hatch as Veta Louise Simmons, Mersedez Clifford as Myrtle Mae Simmons, David Hobbs as Dr. Sanderson, Madi Christensen as Nurse Kelly and Stephen Ewan as Dr. Chumley.
Raychel Briseno, Jonas Heaton, Tyler Pierce, Keli Bera and Patrick Paulk rounded out the ensemble cast.
Steve Pay, director of theatre at the high school, said the entire production was run by students.
