Howard “Bruce” Charles Norton

    On Friday, March 23, 2018 Howard “Bruce” Charles Norton passed away. He was born to Howard “Bud” Charles Norton and Faye Russell on May 19, 1930 in Price, Utah. Howard was a life-long resident of Carbon County, and an active member of the community and the LDS church. He was a member of the Price JC’s and president of the Helper Kiawani’s Club. Howard was also the “official” Santa Claus for Helper’s Christmas Town for several years. He served as assistant manager of Sears and Roebuck on Price Main Street. He also owned his own businesses, Norton’s of Helper and a recycling business. Howard would always return to his first career choice, truck driving, whenever he could.
    He is survived by his sons, Howard Norton (Lorraine) – Henderson, NV, Guy Norton – Price, UT, sisters, Barbara Austin and Davalene Houston, ten grandchildren, four step grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
    He is preceded in death by his spouse (Lucy Ann), daughter (Nita Christine Lofton), brother (Bobby “Stinky” Norton), sisters (Loretta Jones and Lois Salzetti). A small ceremony will be held at Fausett Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 10:30 AM where friends and family may come to pay their last respects. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, UT.
