GREEN RIVER, UT — The John Wesley Powell River History Museum will host an art show depicting rivers, river runners, desert canyons, and local fauna interacting with the landscape of southeastern Utah.
Any medium is acceptable, as long as the theme is maintained. The show will run March 31 to April 21. Deadline for submission of exhibits is March 27 at 7 p.m.
There is a limit of two entries per artist. Artists need to take entries to the museum, fill out a registration form and sign a waiver.
The fee for professional artists is $10 per entry and $5 per entry for amateur artists.
There will also be a youth division. Youth are not restricted to the theme. The Book Cliff Art Fair will be April 12.
All art must be ready to hang. All art needs to be available for sale. Prizes include ribbons and cash. There will also be a “People’s Choice Award,” where visitors will select the work of art they like best.
Entries may be picked up beginning April 22 and must be picked up by April 28.
During the art show museum hours will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
