U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Utah State Director Randy Parker on Monday announced that USDA is investing nearly $4 million to help rebuild and improve rural water and wastewater infrastructure in Glendale and Nephi.
“I can’t think of an amenity more central to quality of life and economic development than having clean, reliable water,” Parker said.
USDA is supporting investments in two Utah community infrastructure projects through the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant program.
It can be used to finance drinking water, stormwater drainage and waste disposal systems for rural communities with 10,000 or fewer residents.
