HELPER-Our beloved Edith Breznick Litizzette, 89, passed away August 20, 2018 at Pinnacle Care Center in Price, Utah.
She was born June 29, 1929 in Kenilworth, Utah to Frank and Mary Erman Breznick. She married Stanley Victor Litizzette June 16, 1956 in Helper, Utah. He died February 21, 1994.
Edith was raised in Helper, Utah where she attended local schools. She was a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1947. In her younger years, she was president of the Catholic Altar Society, chair of the annual blood drive, and an active participant in the Sewing Guild Club where she spun yarn. Edith was an avid reader, skilled seamstress, and an amazing cook. Her hands were rarely idle and she knit and crocheted many beautiful and fun items over the years. “Breezy” was a friend to everyone and always had coffee ready to share along with great conversation in her kitchen.
She is survived by her grandsons, Anthony Litizzette and Nicholas (Nicole) Litizzette of Salt Lake City, and Michael Litizzette of Logan; daughter-in-law, Jackie Litizzette of Logan; nieces, Carol Breznick and Terry Rampton of Salt Lake City, and Cathy (Wally) Morics of Wisconsin; nephews, John Breznick of Virginia and David Breznick of California; and a community of wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley V. Litizzette; son, Larry Litizzette; infant daughter, Lisa; brothers, Frank and Albert Breznick; and sister, Mary Owens.
The family would like to thank Edith’s special friends and caregivers who enriched her life and loved her like family. Their devotion allowed her to stay in her home the majority of her life.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, August 25, 2018, 11:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Edith online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
