AJB Holdings, also known as the Tony Basso Group, announced the hiring of Megan Marshall as chief operating officer who took over in this position in September.
Megan Marshall, was an employee of Sutherlands in Price, Utah for over twelve years and recently accepted a position in Salt Lake City. Upon hearing this news, Tony Basso, owner of AJB Holdings and Tony Basso GM, reached out immediately to bring her talent back to Price.
Marshall was raised in Carbon County and has been acknowledged for founding The Boys & Girls Club of Carbon County, volunteering as Price City parade coordinator for over six years, earning the International Days Award for Volunteer of the Year, as well as many committees and boards including Castle Valley Community Theater, International Days Committee and assisting several other organizations.
Recognizable on a larger scale, Marshall was recently named, “Most Inspirational Mom in America” by the University of Phoenix and The Boys & Girls Club of America. Upon which, she went on a nationwide press tour and was awarded a full-tuition college scholarship in business management.
Marrying Jason Marshall, a native to Carbon County, raising two children here, and recently building a home in Price Megan loves this community and was eager for the opportunity to return to work in Castle Country, and with the thrilling bonus of being a part of a company so dedicated to job creation and community prosperity. Succeeding Ben Heaton, who was promoted to C.E.O., Megan has hit the ground running, working on several new businesses. The Tony Basso Group will be introducing, within the year, and publicizing just how much the company donates back to this well deserving area.
Being raised here, Marshall can see just how much the area has to offer and said, “We’re really going to focus on entertainment for local children and increasing tourism. This hidden gem is about to be in the spotlight in a big, big way. There are so many exciting projects in the works, and I can’t wait to get started.”
The Tony Basso Group management stresses the importance of utilizing the vast amount of talent found locally and they work hard to keep community talent here. Tony has employed hundreds of employees since his first car dealership and has expanded businesses to include restaurants, an event center, bars, rental properties and more.
“Tony maintains how crucial it is to offer opportunities to locals, enabling them to grow and expand their skills within the company,” said Marshall. “Hence the introduction of their new slogan, ‘The Tony Basso Group, Building Castle Country From Within.’”
Marshall encourages everyone to follow the company progress on their website, www.heytony.com, which will showcase philanthropic endeavors and offers groups and organizations an outlet to request grants in the future.
