“Patricia”
Pat passed away on September 23, 2017 in Rio Rancho NM following an extended battle with leukemia. Pat was born in Sunnyside UT to Wm. Clifton and Pearl Patterson Mahan on August 28, 1933, later moving to Dragerton.
She graduated from Carbon High School in Price in 1951 and Holy Cross School of SLC Nursing in 1954, Salt Lake City. She met 2nd Lieutenant George B Cortelyou III in Sacramento CA and married on December 18, 1954. They had two daughters that joined them in living the adventure of being stationed in several American cities, Japan and Germany finally settling in Albuquerque NM.
Pat is survived by her husband George, daughters Suzanne (Donald) Divett, Rio Rancho, Carolyn (Mike) Rowley, Rexburg ID, sister Sallie (Jack) Killian and Vena (Kenneth, deceased) Tryon, Price UT, 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held September 29, 2017 at LDS Chapel, Rio Rancho. Interment Memorial Cemetery of ST. John’s Church (Cortelyou family cemetery) Cold Springs Harbor NY.
