Frank Drozdik “Tennis Shoe Frank” was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on January 4, 1942 and passed away peacefully on the evening of November 17, 2017 surrounded by his family after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He married Trudy Peterson in 1963 and they had 5 kids; Joseph Drozdik, Tina (Jim) Hansen, Charlie Redmond, Bill (Megan) Axelsen and John (Melissa) Axelsen. They later divorced. Frank then married the love of his life, Lee, on September 15, 1978 and gained three more children; Frankie (Kelly) Wellman, Angie (Poncho) Solis and Tonya (Larry) Barnes. He was very proud of his 8 kids, 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was a man of many talents “a Jack of all trades”, he was a carpet layer, a welder and a mechanic just to mention a few but his most favorite job was driving the big trucks along with his beautiful wife. She always called him her “MacGyver” because he could fix anything! He was also very musically inclined; he played many instruments, sang and loved music. Frank was a very outgoing person, and always made time to smile and greet everyone.
He always felt that one of his biggest accomplishments in life was serving his God Jehovah and helping people to learn the Bible and the hope for the future, which he did faithfully for 50 years as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Memorial Services for Frank will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses located at: 2577 South Hempstead Street (1240 W) West Valley City, Utah 84119 on Saturday November 25, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
