Following tight on the heels of the Sub for Santa Golf Tournament, comes the 3rd annual Shoes for Shoes Horseshoe Tournament. Another successful Elks fundraiser to raise money for underprivileged children in Carbon County.
“Turnout was great 18 people participated, two tournaments were played, lots of spectators, “said Elks trustee Irene Everett of Sunday’s event.
$398 was raised from entry fees and concessions. Brother and sister, Dale Davis and Janelle Norton won the first contest. Ricci Camberlango and James Coates won the second.
Both of the winning teams graciously donated their $45 in prize money back to the Sub for Santa charity.
