Average retail gasoline prices in Utah have fallen 5.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $1.89/g Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 1,171 gas outlets in Utah. This compares with the national average that has fallen 2.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $1.80/g, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
Including the change in gas prices in Utah during the past week, prices Sunday were 4.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 13.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 19.8 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 25.3 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on February 1 in Utah have ranged widely over the last five years:
$1.84/g in 2015, $3.06/g in 2014, $3.10/g in 2013, $3.07/g in 2012 and $2.84/g in 2011.
