Home visit exposes parole violations

Adult Probation and Parole Agents turned up drugs and weapons during a home visit Wednesday at the residence of a Price man who was on probation.
According to a news release from the Price City Police Department, agents found 38 year old Matthew L. Bowman to be in possession of illegal narcotics and other contraband, a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun, and a Samurai sword. Bowman is a Category One restricted person and is not allowed to have firearms or other dangerous weapons.
Price Police were called to the residence at 357 South 100 West #9 to assist AP&P agents, and arrested Bowman on felony charges of possession of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, and possession of methamphetamine. He also faces new misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of another person’s identification documents.
Bowman has 11 previous arrests involving drug possession charges.
