HELPER – Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Robert Edward Grundy, age 86, passed away September 30 while surrounded by his loving family in the home he built 57 years ago.
He was born February 19, 1929 in Bingham, Utah to Thomas and Crystal Trauntvein Grundy. Married the love of his life, Jama Capece, June 28, 1948 in Price, Utah and together they raised four wonderful children, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Robert was a member of the Catholic Church and a staunch member of the United Mine Workers of America Local # 8622. He retired from the UMWA in 1991 with over sixty years of dedicated service. Bob was a loyal friend and neighbor who honorably served his country in the US Navy.
Robert shared a deep love for the outdoors and he proudly passed these traditions down to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting on “Tub Ridge” and his memory will always whisper softly down the ridge until it comes to rest at his favorite “Sleepy Tree”. He also enjoyed years of camping and fishing at Rock Creek. Robert leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished and honored for generations to come. “Rest in peace Dad, we love and miss you”.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff of Symbii for your loving care. Also a special thanks to his angels, Autumn, Arin, Courtney and Arrow, your generosity and love will never be forgotten.
