Carbon Football falls to 1-6 overall, 0-3 in Region

The Carbon High School football team went scoreless in its game against Morgan High School on Friday, losing 35-0.
Morgan scored all of its points in the first half, with three touchdowns in the first quarter and two in the second. The Dinos’ defense was able to hold Morgan scoreless in the second half.
For the Dinos on defense, senior Dallyn Mower tallied 16 tackles on the night, 10 solo and six assisted with one tackle for loss. Senior Peyton Fausett tallied nine tackles, five solo and four assisted with one tackle for loss.
The Dinos were stuffed on offense for much of the night, with only 220 all purpose yards in the game. Sophomore Nate Olson tallied over half of those yards, with a 109-yard kick return, four rushing yards and five receiving yards.
Carbon will continue to work on both the offensive and defensive side of the game before taking on Juan Diego Catholic on the road this Friday. The Dinos next home game will be on Oct. 14 against Richfield High School at 7 p.m.
