Becky Marinos

HELPER – Our very classy lady, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Becky Aragon Marinos, age 62, passed away peacefully July 3, 2012 at her home in Helper.
She was born Nov. 7, 1949, in Standardville to Abel B. and Eva Escandon Aragon.
Married Jack Marinos on May 12, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Becky was a very caring person that always worried about not giving enough for Christmas and birthdays or that she forgot someone. She loved her little dogs Keda, Chichee, Brutus and Precious. Becky was an excellent cook and no one left the house hungry. She always split the left overs and sent them home with the kids. She was very proud to have been a coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers of America. She was also a journeyman heavy equipment operator and belonged to the operators engineer union #3 out of Salt Lake City and worked in the oil fields. Becky loved to be outdoors camping, hunting and shooting. She enjoyed doing crafts and was an excellent coffee maker. Becky raised her grandchild Jacqulyn for 10 years and had a special liking for the twin girls and her dear friend Janet Montoya.
Survived by her loving husband Jack Marinos, Helper; children, Arthur Sanchez, Sophia (Louis) Garcia, Dion (Wendy) Jacquez, Denise (Larry) Wheeler, Sonya Hernandez, Chris (Karen) Marinos, Katrina (Brian) Larose, Jackie (Bill) Larose; 3 brothers and one sister, Abel (Linda) Aragon, Richard N. (Joanie) Aragon, James J. Aragon, Elena G. Robles; 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Dean; brother, Arthur Aragon; grandparents, John and Carmen Escandon.
Funeral Mass, Wednesday, July 11, 2012, 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church (5 South Main, Helper). Vigil service Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to service. Committal, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Becky online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
