The following article was originally published in a Thursday edition of the Eastern Utah Advocate from November 1907. This is a reprint of that article.

“Private or community roads are not entitled to expenditures from the state appropriation to the counties for improvement and repair of highways and bridges,” says Attorney General Breeden in an opinion last week sent to Ivor Ajax, county clerk of Tooele county. The opinion says that highways and bridges to come under the appropriation must either be laid out or built by the public or have become dedicated to the public by continued use and travel for a period of ten years.
