Dave Adair accepts his trophy for Pure Stock at the Elks Club. On November 11, the Central Utah Stock Car Racing Association held it’s annual end of the season banquet for their members and guests. Desert Thunder Raceway is part of the association. The members of CUSCRA were honored with a dinner followed by a presentation of awards and trophies. Harvey Howard, owner of the local track, gave a small speech to the members and was followed by a movie that had bits and pieces of track events and happenings throughout the season. The members were able to vote for their new board members as well as officers for the following season.
The top six racers of each class were given trophies as well as those who received rookie of the year. The final standings for first place for each class are as follows: Modified, Colton VanderHerp; Pure Stock, David Adair; Street Stock, Darrin Bradley; Mini Stock, Dug Peterson; Truck Stock, Richard Goden; and Powder Puff, Sharon Wilson.
