Darl Taylor

CLEVELAND – Darl Alma Taylor, age 40, loving husband, father and son passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife, Sharon and family by his side after a long courageous fight with cancer on Feb. 14, 2006.
He was born June 3, 1965 in Salt Lake City to Larry and Judy Taylor. He married Sharon Jones Dec. 7, 1984, daughter of Clell and Odessa Jones of Castle Dale.
Darl’s family was the most important thing in his life. He loved the outdoors and hunting. He spent time there with his family every chance he could.
He was a very service oriented person. Most people ask how they can help, he never asked. He didn’t want to give anyone the chance to turn him down. He was just there helping every chance he could.
Darl worked for Nielson Construction. Darl loved his job. He was a heavy equipment operator. They gave him a picture of their employees by a track hoe with a saying that sums up Darl’s work ethic, “Go over, go under, go around, or go through, but never give up, Darl. You inspire us.”
Darl was a member of the LDS Church. He was an Eagle Scout.
He is survived by wife, Sharon; three children, Ashley, Colton and Michelle; parents, Larry and Judy Taylor of Cedar City; three brothers and one sister, Randy (Tina), Huntington; Ryan, Salt Lake; and Brent and Kim Ladd, Cedar City. Preceded in death by brother, Cody.
Funeral services will be in Cleveland at the LDS Chapel at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 18. Friends and family may call at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale Friday, Feb. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the Cleveland Chapel one hour prior to services. Burial, Cleveland City Cemetery.
Special thanks to Nielson Construction and Rocky Mountain Hospice.
