Angel Coho
HELPER – Our precious daughter and sister, Angel Lavonda Platero Coho, age 4, joined her brother, Nelvert, to be with our Heavenly Father on Oct. 26, 2005 at Primary Chilren’s Medical Center from a heart condition.
She was born Oct. 12, 2001 in Price to Ferlin and Yalonda King Coho.
Angel loved to sing and color, as well as giving big smiles, but more than that she loved her grandmothers. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Helper.
Survived by parents, Ferlin and Yalonda; brothers, Fercendo, Nelvin and Ferlin Jr.; sisters, Precious and Anna; grandparents, Patchi Coho Sr., Louise Elridge, Lavonda Cadman and Everett Cadman; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by brother, Nelvert; and great-grandma, Anna King.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, noon, at Fausett Mortuary. Burial, Mountain View Cemetery in Helper.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Angel Coho Memorial Fund at Balance Rock Credit Union.
Vickie Oveson
CASTLE DALE/HELPER – Vickie Lee Anderson Oveson, age 56, passed away Oct. 30, 2005 at her mother’s home in Helper.
She was born July 31, 1949 in Price to Clarence Phillip and Noreen Hackwell Anderson. Married James Raymond Oveson, Nov. 23, 1967 in Helper; he passed away May 10, 1968 while serving in Vietnam.
Longtime resident of Carbon and Emery counties and graduate of Carbon High School in 1967. Vickie worked for Utah Power and Light Hunter Plant for 23 years.
She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
Survived by her son, Lance Littlejohn, Castle Dale; daughter, Lynn Littlejohn, Wellington; grandchildren, Frankielyn and Scottie Kraync; mother, Noreen Anderson, Helper; sister, Teri (Alan) Sillitoe, Spring Glen; brother, Cregg (Bobbie) Anderson, Denver, Colo.; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by her husband and father.
Graveside serviceThursday, Nov. 3, 2 p.m., Cleveland City Cemetery. Family will be at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday from noon to 1:15 p.m.
Jack W. Pruitt
HUNTINGTON – Jack W. Pruitt, age 81, passed away Oct. 29, 2005 in Price.
We was born Sept. 27, 1924 in Nowada, Okla., to Harrison Turnar and Bertha Inez Allison Pruitt. Married Ione Mollie Collins April 8, 1942 in Phoenix, Ariz.; she passed away on May 5, 2001.
Resident of Huntington for the past 18 years.
Jack honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a dedicated member of the VFW Miners Post 2379 and also a member of the DAV. Jack’s Christian belief was that there’s no atheist in a fox hole.
Survived by two daughters and one son, Virginia (Richard) Paoli, Martinez, Calif.; Ginger Maier, Elko, Nev.; Ralph (Naedath) Pruitt, Huntington; eight grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Military graveside service, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1 p.m., Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Riverton. Family and friends are welcome at Mitchell Funeral Home in Price Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Kevin Wells
WELLINGTON – Kevin Wells, age 46, passed away suddenly on Oct. 25, 2005 of a massive heart attack.
He as born Oct. 14, 1959 in Price to Ross and Maxine Lambson Wells. Married Lynette Vuksinick Feb. 14, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Kevin was a graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1978 and was employed at Deer Creek Coal Mine where he worked for the past 28 years.
Kevin was a sports fanatic and he wrestled and played football all through high school. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos fan. Kevin and Kyle argued constantly over the Broncos and Raiders.
Kevin coached Justin, Kyle and Josh through little league and quite a few all-star games. He coached little league football for all the boys and loved every minute of it. He wanted to coach Jessie in softball, however, she wanted to play little league and he wasn’t going for that.
Kevin and Josh were his all time hunting partners. Kevin said Josh had such buck fever that he would knee-cap everything he shot at. Last years buffalo hunt for Josh was very important to both of them.
Jessie was the light of his life. If he would have had his way, she would have never dated. He was very excited about her starting college in January and was always amazed at how smart and beautiful she was.
Survived by wife of 25 years, Lynette Wells; son, Josh and Jessica Lehman; daughter, Jessie; nephew, Kyle Hamann; foster daughter, Sasha Fowler and Mike; and Papa’s only granddaughter, Angel; foster daughter, Angela Sorrels; mother, Maxine Wells; sister, Kriss Larsen; brothers, Keith, Kenny and Kerry Wells; sister-in-law, Vanessa (Ben) Benedict; and mother-in-law, Faye Vuksinick. Preceded in death by son, Justin; father, Ross; father-in-law, Martin Vuksinick; sister-in-law, Melanie; grandparents, Tom and Elga Wells, Lavelle and Emma Lambson; and aunt, Bonnie.
Funeral service was Friday, Oct. 28, at Wellington LDS Stake Center. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
