Carbon High senior Zach Henseler is denied by two Union defenders during Tuesday night’s home opener. Henseler was Carbon’s top scorer with 12.

The water in the locker room at Carbon High must be tainted.
After entering halftime with a deficit of only two points, the Dinos returned to the court with a sluggish team and lost control of the game.
“We came out flat and they took advantage of it,” head coach Ted Bianco commented. “We struggled on both end of the floor.”
The Dinos’ third quarter dryspell lasted for four minutes, during which time Carbon scored no points.
Union capitalized on the drought and outscored Carbon 25-8 in the quarter.
According to Bianco, two Carbon buckets were even taken back with travelling calls prior to the shot.
“You can’t go that long without scoring, especially when you’re only down by two at the half,” Bianco said.
Bryan Stewart and Zach Henseler led Carbon with 12 points.
Troy Grundy had 10 points, Tyler Nelson added eight, Chase Julian had six and Miles Hunsaker finished with five.
Carbon is on the road this weekend at Ben Lomond for back-to-back games.
The team will then host Grantsville at home on Dec. 10. The sophomore game begins at 3:30 p.m. followed by junior varsity at 5:15 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m.
