Lois Cook


PRICE – Lois Ann Cook, age 37, passed away Dec. 2, 2003 in Layton.
Born July 12, 1966 in Salt Lake City to Larry and Eileen Ledesma Freeman.
Lois enjoyed spending time with her children and taking in children that needed a home.
Survived by children, Meranda (Kevin) Saccomano, Helper; Bobby Cook, Helper; Cody McDonald, Price; Dylan Keele, Price; parents, Larry (Andrea) Freeman, Price; Eileen Davis, Colorado; five brothers and one sister, Leland Freeman, Colorado; Allen (Pearl) Freeman, Colorado; Roger Freeman, Price; Larry Freeman, Price; Louis Elmer, Manti; Emilia Zazueta, Price; and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Michael Keele; and grandfather, Gabrial Ledesma.
Memorial service Saturday, Dec. 6, noon, at Mitchell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to her children at Far West Bank.


O.C. ‘Buck’ Archer


MOAB – O.C. “Buck” Archer passed away in Moab, Friday, Nov. 28, 2003.
Buck was born April 27, 1926 to Calvin Clayton Archer and Olive Pike in Cheyenne, Okla. He was the youngest of 11 children. He married Veta O. Ward April 23, 1947 and the couple had three daughters.
During the late 1950s, the family moved to Moab where Buck was a businessman.
He is survived by three daughters, Twyla Archer of Coolidge, Ariz.; ReNann Archer of Florence, Ariz.; Karla (Larry) McKinney of Chandler, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Karliss (Jim) Mattison, O’Jca Randall, Harlan Carbajal and Stacy Randall; two great-granddaughters, Shellbie and Fallann Mattison; and four sisters, Ruby (Horrace) Montgomery, Jewell Enyart, Nola Walker and Lucille (Marry) Martini. Buck was preceded in death by beloved wife, Veta; parents; and six siblings.
A viewing will take place Thursday, Dec. 4, 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral services will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., both at Moab Memorial Mortuary with graveside services at Sunset Memorial Gardens immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make donations to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.


Albert Salzetti


PRICE – Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Albert Carl Salzetti, age 92, passed away Dec. 3, 2003 in Price.
He was born Oct. 3, 1911 in Dawson, N.M., to Serafino and Genoveffa Ciccone Salzetti. Married Fawn Coleman on Oct. 15, 1940 in Price.
Member of the Catholic Church. Longtime resident of Price. He started working in the coal mines at age 14, where he worked in various mines in Carbon County.
Albert and his wife, Fawn, owned and operated the Center Market in Price for 26 years. He loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family.
Albert loved to play a friendly game of pinochle. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Survived by loving wife, Fawn, Price; three sons, Jim (Becky) Salzetti, Los Angeles, Calif.; Carl Salzetti, Price; Ron (Kay) Salzetti, San Diego, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Guido (Irene) Salzetti, Spring Glen; Edward (Paula) Salzetti, Salt Lake City; Raymond (Lois) Salzetti, East Carbon; and sister Eda Ewell. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, John; brothers, Armando and Fred; and sisters, Sestina and Marge.
Funeral Mass Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening, 7 p.m., at Mitchell Funeral Home where friends may call daily 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Committal service, Price City Cemetery.
