Letter to the Editor: the silence of you and me

By Sun Advocate

In a speech taken from William Shakspeare’s, “Julius Caesar” I have remodeled it to fit the typical actions taken by the radical extreme environmentalist’s against Utah’s silent citizenry.
Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fevered pitch and blood boils with hate and the mind is closed, the leader will have no need of seizing the rights of the citizenry, infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, They will offer up all their rights gladly so. How do I know? For that is what I have done. And I am Caesar.
Beware of the radical extreme environmentalist leader who bangs the drums of the environmental war in order to whip us common every day citizens into a pro environment fervor. For environmentalism is indeed a double-edged sword. It emboldens the blood with extreme environmentalism, just as it narrows the mind of the common citizenry, meaning you and me. And when the drums of the environmentalist war have reached a fever pitch and blood boils with hate our mind becomes closed with their distorted reasoning. The radical environment leader will have no need in seizing the “rights” of the anti environmental concerned citizenry, yours and mine. Rather the citizenry, you and me infused with fear and blind sided by environmental intimidation and being coerced will offer up our rights unto the environmentalist leader and gladly so. How do I know this? ‘By your repeated silent, non-involvement, let someone else do it attitude. For this is how I planned my strategy. I am one of Utah’s active radical environmental leaders.
Martin Luther King clarified the above when he wrote, “History, will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of social transition is not the strident clamor of the bad people, but rather, the appalling silence of the good people.”
That’s you and me.
