Carbon County residents were treated to an evening of exciting monster truck and mud bog action this past Saturday night at the county fairgrounds. Several monster trucks performed before eager spectators and local residents were able to participate in the mud bog event.
The roar of engines could be heard for miles as monster trucks jumped, crushed, and demolished a line of discarded cars in the center of the fairgrounds arena.
Three categories of trucks also competed in the mud bog events. Local residents were able to enter their trucks into the competition. The mud was as thick as the competition, but when the dust had cleared, the winners were revealed.
In the stock event of the mud bog competition, Dean Bradley Jr. took home first place honors with a first round time of 4.04 seconds and a second round time of 4.01 seconds. Scott Edwards would follow with a second place finish while Jeremy Ison finished in third place.
The event was exciting and fun for all who attended and participated. Now the anticipation remains for the event to revisit the county next year.
